Both my teams won this weekend!
Yes, it's been a good weekend all around.
The Gators won a hard fought game away against Ole Miss on Saturday AND the JETS won at home Sunday against the Dolfins.
It's hard being a Jets fan because they disappoint so often...
It's even harder being a Jets fan and living in South Florida!
But I believe in loyalty, so I stick with the Jets through highs and lows.
Unfortunately, there are more lows than highs....
But this weekend - it's a high!
J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!
The Secret's Out! Go Blair!
OMG!!!! Did Blair drop the bomb on OLTL today, or what?
Finally, Finally, FINALLY!!!!
I can't believe it, because it seemed like even Blair was balking at telling Todd after Marcie showed up with Tommy/TJ.
But then....just when it appeared that Blair was also going to stay quiet....She blurts it out!
The looks on Todd's and John's faces: priceless!
Calling all Jets fans - if there are any more of us on this blog - HELLO!
Just a shout out about tonight's game, the Jets vs. the Vikes.
I'm wearing my pink Chad Pennington jersey today...It is so cool. The NFL shop now has team jerseys for women in colors like pink. It's really throwing people when they look at the jersey and do a double take and say, "Hey, their colors aren't pink?" Then I have to explain the whole thing...
But it's definitely an ice-breaker
And GO JETS!
Tropical storm, possible hurricane
I heard those words this morning "
tropical storm forming...."
For someone who has gone through three major hurricanes in two years, when I hear those three words, I get a little bit on edge.....
Okay. A lot on edge.
The last one we survived, Wilma, was a doozy, with the eye of the storm going right over us and causing a lot of property damage. Yes, we were holding all the doors closed as Wilma tried to open them with her powerful winds and I watched as our big screen enclosure collapsed into our pool...
But the most important thing is that we were all alright....Yes, we are very thankful...It could have been much worse...
But it still doesn't make me any less frightened about the possibilities this year. This is the time that the storms really get active - and South Florida seems to be a huge magnet for these hurricanes. So, let's just hope this storm stays somewhere out to sea far, far away......
John McBain and Dr. Crosby
I love Michael Easton and I love Scott Bryce. The two outstanding actors were together for a much too brief period on OLTL....I really loved their scenes together as Dr. Crosby (Bryce) tried to get McBain (Easton) to talk about his feelings. I really enjoyed EVERY TIME they were on the canvass together. They always made me smile.
I have followed Scott Bryce's career pretty much from the get go. I took an acting seminar in college with his dad, Ed, many, many, many moons ago. I actually only went to one class and then dropped it because it was at night and I was getting my master's degree and had too many other things going on at the time.
But Ed Bryce made an impression on me - what a nice man!
